Existing Floor & Substrate Condition

Old Floor or New Floor?
Age of Existing Concrete
Existing Floor Finish
Existing Coating / Floor Removal Required?Affects preparation method & cost
Concrete ConditionSelect all that apply
ℹ Why substrate condition matters Epoxy and PU flooring systems depend heavily on the condition and preparation of the concrete below them. Weak, contaminated, damp, or poorly prepared concrete can cause peeling, blistering, cracking, or premature failure even when the coating itself is properly applied.
Concrete Repair Needed?Select all that apply
Oil / Chemical Contamination?
Water Seepage From Below Surface? Can cause system failure
ℹ Moisture matters Moisture trapped beneath an impermeable resin floor can create blistering, debonding, or other failures. Moisture testing should be carried out where the substrate condition or site history indicates a risk.
C

Flooring System & Performance Requirements

Required Flooring System
ℹ Epoxy vs PU Epoxy systems provide a hard, durable and chemical-resistant surface and are widely used in industrial and commercial areas. PU systems generally offer greater flexibility and resistance to thermal movement, impact and certain aggressive environments. The final selection should be based on the site's traffic, chemicals, temperature changes and operating conditions.
Required System Type
Required Thickness
ℹ Thickness matters The required thickness depends on traffic, impact, substrate condition and expected service life. Higher-build systems generally provide greater mechanical resistance but require additional material and installation time.

Usage & Exposure

Heavy Mechanical Loading?
Forklift / Pallet Truck Traffic?
Impact / Abrasion Exposure?
Chemical Exposure?Select all that apply
ℹ Chemical exposure Different resin systems have different chemical resistance. Identify the chemicals that may contact the floor during normal operation, including cleaning chemicals, oils, solvents and process materials, so the appropriate system can be specified.

Slip Resistance Required?
Hygienic / Easy-Clean Requirement?
E

Joint, Drainage & Floor Details

Existing Expansion / Movement Joints?
Control Joints Present?
Joint Treatment Required?
Floor Drainage Required?
Slope to Drain Required?
Wall-to-Floor Coving Required?
Coving Height
ℹ Coving A resin cove creates a continuous transition between the floor and wall, reducing dirt traps and protecting the wall-floor junction. It is particularly useful in wet, hygienic and washdown areas.
F

Surface Preparation & Site Logistics

Surface Preparation Method
ℹ Surface preparation Mechanical preparation removes weak concrete, laitance, contaminants and existing coatings while creating the surface profile required for proper resin adhesion. The final preparation method depends on the existing floor and selected system.
3-Phase Power Supply Available?Required for surface preparation equipment
Water Supply on Site?

Application Conditions & Protection

Working Temperature
Moisture / Humidity Control Available?
Rain / Water Exposure During Application?
Floor Protection After Application
Required Handover Condition
ℹ Curing & handover Resin flooring requires sufficient curing time before traffic is permitted. The exact time depends on the selected system, site temperature and application conditions. IndigoInd will advise the appropriate access restrictions for the specified system.

How We Deliver Your Floor

01
Site Assessment & Substrate Inspection

We begin by inspecting the existing floor and confirming the substrate condition, intended use, traffic, environmental exposure and required performance of the finished floor. Areas requiring repair or additional preparation are identified before application begins.

Substrate inspection Moisture assessment where required
02
Existing Coating & Surface Preparation

Any loose, poorly bonded or unsuitable existing coating is removed where required. The concrete surface is mechanically prepared using diamond grinding, shot blasting or another suitable preparation method to remove weak material and provide the required surface profile.

Mechanical preparation Existing coating removal where required
03
Crack & Surface Repair

Cracks, spalled areas, surface defects and localised damaged concrete are repaired using suitable compatible repair materials. The repaired areas are allowed to cure before the resin system is applied.

Subject to substrate condition
04
Primer Application

A compatible primer is applied uniformly over the prepared concrete to penetrate and bond with the substrate. The primer establishes the adhesion layer required for the subsequent resin system.

Epoxy / PU compatible primer
05
Body Coat / Build-Up

The specified resin system is applied to achieve the required build and performance. Depending on the selected system, this may include a self-levelling layer, epoxy mortar, PU layer or other specified build coat.

System and thickness as specified
06
Aggregate / Anti-Slip Treatment

Where additional slip resistance is required, suitable aggregate is incorporated into the system to achieve the specified surface texture and performance.

Optional Subject to specification
07
Intermediate / Additional Coat

Where the selected system requires additional build or reinforcement, further resin coats are applied after the preceding layer has reached the required application condition.

As per system specification
08
Topcoat Application

The final epoxy or PU topcoat is applied evenly to provide the specified colour, finish, chemical resistance and surface protection.

Smooth / Textured / Anti-Slip
09
Coving & Joint Treatment

Where specified, wall-floor coving and joint treatment are completed using compatible resin materials to provide a continuous and protected floor system.

Optional Subject to specification
10
Final Finish & Quality Inspection

The completed floor is inspected for uniformity of colour, finish, texture, coverage, edges and visible surface defects. Any areas requiring attention are addressed before handover.

Finish consistency Coverage inspection
11
Curing & Controlled Access

The finished floor is protected from traffic, water and contamination while the resin system cures. Access is progressively permitted according to the selected system and prevailing site conditions.

Foot traffic / Vehicle traffic as specified
12
Final Cleaning & Handover

The completed floor is cleaned and prepared for handover. The finished installation is photo-documented, and the client is informed of the appropriate cleaning, maintenance and initial-use requirements.
